The Web Developer will build and maintain internal tools and other projects as needed. Excellent web development skills are a key requirement for this position, as well as great communication skills. Develops the back-end code in the creation and enhancement of websites and may manage back-end technical and operational aspects of a company's web presence. Initial work will be on the SNAPin project.

This role is willing and wanting to learn about new technology, about the mobile space, and conveying that message in their work.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, construct and commission web based tools from general specifications.
• Implement tasks in accordance with schedule and budget goals for projects as assigned.
• Engage in problem definition and solution implementation through systematic investigation of client needs.
• Stay abreast of current technology and seek new ways to utilize new technology.
• Develops technical links with back-end databases and other applications and systems to ensure adequate security of the company site and underlying systems
• Work with cross-functional teams to assist in the development of site specifications and requirements.

Education & Experience:

• Requires BS degree in computer science or equivalent
• 1-2 years of Web development/Webmaster or Web engineering experience
• Strong grasp of basic front-end technologies (HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML)
• Understanding of UI design principles of good usability.
• A detailed understanding of Javascript/AJAX usage (Javascript framework experience a plus.)
• In depth knowledge of at least one programming language used in back-end processing (JAVA, C++, C#, etc.)
• Familiar approach to database design and operation (MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
• Knowledge and expertise with cross browser compatibility issues (Firefox, IE, Safari)
