UI Designer

Position Summary:

The UI Developer/Designer will develop and deliver an interactive user experience. This position requires collaboration with software developers and program managers to develop the XML-based UI for mobile applications. The ideal candidate has a passion for high quality user experience and is a team player who is self-motivated and driven by success.

Position Responsiblities:

• Responsible for User Interface (UI) design, implementation, and testing.
• Work closely with product management and engineers to translate customer requirements into product functionality.
• Write product and feature design specifications based on functional requirements and develop code to implement the design with appropriate unit and system testing.
• Responsible for estimating, planning, and delivering projects on agreed scope and timelines.
• Responsible for moving product through Quality Assurance and Customer Deployment groups.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years experience.
• Experience creating high quality user interfaces.
• Understand impact of software changes on system performance and scalability.
• Demonstrated UI development skills (using HTML).
• Basic JavaScript.
• Good knowledge of CSS.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Experience modifying and creating images using Adobe Photoshop or other graphics programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to haves

• Telecommunications/wireless industry experience
