Technical Program Manager, OEM

The Technical Program Manager is an individual contributor within the Embedded Development group. Responsible for partnering with and providing guidance to geographically diverse teams in establishing consistent OEM Product Introduction practices. This role requires a diverse background, with demonstrated experience in business, strong technical abilities and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project definition and managing the interaction between OEM partners and SNAPin.
  • Partner with the project team including project engineers, vendors, partners or subcontractors. Own the program from start to completion, including the resolution of escalated project issues.
  • Create project schedules, track and drive projects to completion and communicate project status to key stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Plan, develop and deploy documentation and processes with OEM partners. Analyze functional and deployment requirements and their impact on product roadmaps.
  • Properly generate, justify and present change orders as required by OEM project managers.
  • Coordinate Manufacturing and Launch Readiness reviews for new handsets with support from cross-functional areas within the organization.
  • Coordinate the transition to production for a short period after release of new products to ensure stability in mass production.

Education & Experience

  • BA/BS degree in technical field or related discipline required.
  • Demonstrated project management experience in a professional development environment.
  • Previous experience managing OEM partner relationships.
  • Project management experience including scheduling, tracking dependencies and milestones, identifying risks and reporting project status.
  • Strong technical background, with experience in software development preferred.
  • Knowledge of OEM product life cycles and procedures.
  • Ability to build and manage strong and effective business relationships between OEM partners and SNAPin.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills and ability to work across functional areas and to drive consensus.
