Delivery Services Analyst

The Delivery Services Analyst provides expertise to the Customer Delivery teams on software configuration choices within each SelfService product. The Analyst is heavily involved during the project definition and design phase, acting as a product advocate to expertly lead the customer through an efficient requirements process.

Essentail Duties & Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements and software configuration selections from SNAPin’s mobile operator customers. This will be carried out through a combination of customer workshops, conference calls, face to face meetings, and offline through email.
  • Listen intensely while capturing notes and filling out templates.
  • Recognize subtle information that may present an impact or conflict related to requirements.
  • Create, improve and consistently use SNAPin product worksheets to document all requirements and UI preferences.
  • Build and improve Customer Delivery’s toolkit as it relates to requirements processes and artifacts.
  • Maintain a deep working knowledge of SNAPin currently available software versions. Stay current on SNAPin’s product roadmap.
  • Must always know the difference between standard software scope and custom requests, setting the customer’s expectations accordingly.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key interfaces such as product management, engineering, and account management teams. Represent the customer requirements as needed to support the needs of each interface.
  • Manage progress to plan, coordinate activities with customer project team, and work with customer through completion of the deliverables.
  • Manage multiple assigned tasks and prioritize work efforts in order to accomplish most critical tasks first and meet deadlines. Independently evaluate company needs in order to understand critical path items.
  • Understand timelines and appropriately identify the need for escalation..
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and effectively in an unstructured environment, while contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Support ad hoc project requests that may be unrelated to customer requirements or product knowledge (e.g., prepare workshop packages, report packages, etc.)

Education & Experience

  • 3 years experience in an analyst or similar role contributing to the definition and delivery of commercial software products via the full software development life cycle
  • 2 years experience with enterprise software; telecom and or mobile operator market experience a significant plus.
  • BS in EE or CS, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualities:

  • Excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Excellent and proven customer-facing software requirements management (provide written examples during the interviews).
  • Must have extensive experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (or related process).
  • Proven ability to work in fast paced, self directed environment developing and delivering project and product-based documentation.
  • Ability to work well with international customers who have virtually no time for lengthy discussions, little working knowledge of the product, and English as a second language.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills and ability to tailor communication style to meet objectives.
  • Ability to take complex product configuration information and effectively explain it in layman’s terms to customers
  • Ability to manage change effectively. Capable of being an agent of change through out the organization.
  • Sound reasoning and ability to form consensus on difficult and political decisions.
  • Ability to produce high quality work at rapid pace and on tight schedules.
  • Highly flexible and available to participate in European/US conference calls frequently held in UK evening hours.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations worldwide as required during applicable phases of the program. This resource will be shared across customer projects. Depending on the overlap in requirements phases, European travel may be periodically heavy, plus occasional trips to US headquarters office (up to 25%).
  • Experience with change management and production acceptance processes.
  • Experience with wireless carriers business operations teams such as Care, Marketing and Sales.
  • Experience in a professional services organization is a plus.
  • Multilingual is a huge plus.
