Database Developer

Job Summary

SNAPin Software is seeking a full-time professional Oracle PL/SQL - Java developer. Excellent software design skills are a key requirement for this position, as well as a passion optimizing database code, and the ability to keep the big picture in mind while dealing with individual code units. Ideal candidates will have to excellent PL/SQL programming, UNIX scripting and Oracle programming skills are required in addition to strong analysis, design, organizational, and communication skills. Java development experience is preferred but not required.

Position Requirements:

• Must have 10g SQL, PL/SQL Development working experience, writing Oracle Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages and Database Triggers
• Must have the ability to Tune Oracle SQL and PL/SQL performance
• Must have excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and multi-tasking capabilities
• Build UNIX shell scripts
• Develop unit test plans and turnover documentation for component deliverables
• Java development experience

Education, Training and/or Minimum Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar degree is preferred
• Data warehouse and reporting experience preferred
• Telecommunications/wireless industry experience a plus

• Ability to deal with multiple concurrent projects and their shifting schedules and changing priorities.
• Ability to work with other departments and all levels of the company
• Willingness to provide after-hours support as needed
